Clockwork Town

The city surrounding the Blacklight Academy. It's a simplistic and friendly town with open-aired streets and simple yet pretty architecture. The town has a housing area, filled with houses and little apartment buildings. It has a market square, an open-aired plaza filled with stalls and indoor shops surrounding it. And it even has a recreational area, filled with sports courts, places to hang out, and establishments like coffee shops.

The Grotto

The town that surrounds the God Mage Academy, positioned to protect their most precious resource. This down is a secret and is still secret due to the fact that this town is underground, housing in an extremely large cavern. The town is positioned right next to a beautiful underground lake, which supplies a nice view and a source of drinking water for the town, and on top of all that it fills the entire huge cavern with a dim blue light. The architecture is foreboding and beautiful, and compliments the dim lighting well.

The Starry Plains

These bland rolling hills are littered with townships and villages, and a road through the grassy hills can usually be found with ease, as there are many throughout this vast expanse of land. The reason this area is so popular is because this is where Mana Gems fall the most, so people flock here on the slim chance that they might become a mage! The plains are fertile and make this area a very prosperous one. This is the land where Headmaster Blacklight found the first gem, and the site where he found it is said to be a hidden secret.

The Dark Woods

This gigantic stretch of woodlands seems innocent from the outside, but it has a far more sinister nature. Whenever anything magical enters the forest, it seems to be drained of all magic, rendering it an ordinary and mundane object or person. This makes mages especially fearful of going in. Deeper within the woods, the canopy of the trees grows so thick that it makes it completely dark. Other then lighting problems this isn't a big deal, although, it is said that a group of mage hunters resides in this part of the woods, waiting for prey.

Stormdale Barrows

This land south of the Blacklight Academy is comprised of rolling plains, occasionally interrupted by a hill or a small township. These lands would be mostly peaceful, if it weren't for the fact that the sky is almost ALWAYS overcast. Storms are common here and can sometimes get bad enough to wipe-out small villages. This place gets the other half of its name from the fact that this is a popular battle ground for mages, and has hosted many large-scale battles in the past. So large strips of this land or practically mass graveyards.

The Goliath's Spine

This mountain range is the farthest region to the north there is. This series of tall, unbroken mountains stands tall over snow covered valleys and the many settlements along the bases of the mountains. It is severely cold here so it is almost a necessity to wear warm clothing, just to make sure you don't freeze to death just from standing still! Staying the night outside is almost surely a death sentence without a constant source of heat. It is said that monsters roam higher up the mountains, ranging from huge looking creatures to small critters that are harmless.
